About the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI)
Established in 1976, my business practices are governed by the Code of Ethics of (ASHI) and remain the bible by which all home inspectors rigorously adhere to. A copy of the home inspection guidelines can be obtained through the ASHI website.
Home Inspections: Paper form completed at the inspection site. Any major concerns will be discussed and highlighted on report that day.
Radon Testing: (48) hour continuous Radon Monitor used and manufactured by the Sun Nuclear Company.
Pre-Listing Home Inspections: An inspection usually performed by the seller as a precursor to a buyers home inspection. This initiative by the seller promotes good faith on their behalf as well as address any repairs that may be needed before home is listed.
Experience: (38) years in the trades industry. Having knowledge of all trades associated with the construction of new homes and having helped build one in 1994, the on site experiences were immeasurable. Also, managing 4 apartment buildings for my grandfather, I was responsible for all repairs inside or outside and any remodeling projects that may ensue.
Recommendations to Clients: I recommend always trying to be present at the time of the inspection and to not hesitate to ask questions during the process. I am there to give unbiased and accurate information about the homes condition in order to complete a transaction. Even though I may touch on all aspects of the report, you should still take time to read the report thoroughly and if need be, with your realtor , to make a conscious decision on how to proceed from there. Also, on this website you will be able to sample my home inspection contract, to become informed on every component that is inspected and the ones that are not.
