What defines a good home inspector?
You are approaching one of the final hurdles in your quest to purchase a home and now you must decide through a “Home” Inspection if you have made the right choice. The Home Inspection process although very necessary, will be just one of the parameters to help you decide if this home is suited for you and/or your family. This can be a very emotional time for everyone concerned. We as Home Inspectors, should always be conscious of this fact and always be professional to our clients during this process. The Home Inspection Report should be unbiased, and not allow any interest by any business or person to affect the quality of the report. This being said, a Home Inspection report should be a thorough and in depth visual inspection of all necessary mechanical components, along with the structural dynamics of the home. This requires work on the part of the inspector and will take a minimum of 3 hours to complete satisfactorily. All inspectors have different qualifications and years of field experience. I have been a Home Inspector since 2004 and would never claim to be the best. I can promise you though I will work as hard as anyone, to offer you the best service possible, with the hope of you accomplishing your dream of owning your own home. A “Sample” of my contract can be viewed for any additional information or concerns you may have about the home inspection process. It will give you a better understanding of what will or won’t happen during the home inspection.
